About Feral Cats
A feral cat is generally a cat born outside that has not been socialized to humans and is frightened of people. Free-roaming community cats can include both feral cats and friendly stray cats that have been lost or abandoned.
Why TNR matters
An effective TNR program reduces the number of kittens born outdoors and can reduce breeding-related behaviors such as fighting, roaming, spraying and yowling. Cats that are healthy and returned to their territory can continue living in the environment they know.
